Police in Wrexham are cracking down on drug use within the Racecourse Ground with a specialist drug detection dog.
Wrexham officer said they have been working with the club to identify and stop the use of drugs in the ground, and at yesterday's (Saturday, February 11) match against Wealdstone, they conducted searches after indications from the dog.

The police say that they found packaging and evidence of drug use at the ground, and have warned that anyone caught may be banned from the club, lose their season tickets, and even possibly face prosecution.
A spokesperson said: “Our Neighbourhood Team have been working with a specialist drug detection dog in conjunction with Wrexham AFC to identify drug use within the Racecourse ground at the football match this afternoon (Saturday, February 11). A number of people were searched as a result of indications by the dog during the game and drugs packaging was found along with evidence of drug use.
“North Wales Police and Wrexham FC will not tolerate the use of illegal drugs within the Racecourse ground, and those found to be in possession of drugs will find themselves being banned from the club the loss of any season ticket and the possibility of prosecution. It's just not worth it.
