Residents of a Flintshire village are being warned of plans to deliver farm treatments in spring, which may cause an unpleasant smell.
United Utilities intends to deliver and apply conventional standard, digested Biosolids to farm land in Treuddyn.
A spokesperson at Flintshire Council said: "The application of Biosolids is both beneficial to agriculture and the environment and whilst residents may notice an unpleasant smell, the council would like to provide reassurance that there is no risk to public health."

The map below shows the area of land (in yellow) which will be treated.
The main objective of sludge treatment is to create a biosolids product that is safe and acceptable to recycle to agriculture.
This includes reducing or eliminating potentially harmful micro-organisms e.g. E. Coli and Salmonella spp. and reducing the fermentability of the final biosolids to acceptable levels.
