ROB McElhenney was filmed celebrating wildly after a Wrexham goal in the FA Cup match at the weekend.
Fans were asking why the star co-owner hadn't joined Ryan Reynolds at the Racecourse for the fourth round match against Championship high-flyers Sheffield United.
But he had good reason - the Philadelphia native and lifelong fan of its American Football team, the Eagles, was at the team's stadium for their NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers – the winners of which would advance to the 2023 Super Bowl.

However, that didn't stop him showing the same passion as he would if he had attended the game.
Rob watched the game with Eagles fans at a tailgate party in the parking lot of its stadium.

It was a day of mixed emotions for Rob, his beloved Wrexham produced a fantastic performance but were dealt heartbreak as Sheffield United equalised in the dying embers to force a replay. But later that day, the Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers to book their place at the Superbowl.
At one stage, the Eagles and Wrexham were the top two trends on Twitter in the USA.

He also tweeted saying that if fans of the Always Sunny in Philadelphia notice that in a future episode that his character (Mac) has lost his voice - it was because it had been "shot day".
If you notice an episode of @alwayssunny this season where Mac has lost his voice, know that it was shot today :) @Wrexham_AFC @Eagles
