POLICE and Wrexham Council are looking to address the issue of problem parking near a primary school.
North Wales Police (NWP) said it has been made aware of problematic parking along Tower View, in Acrefair, during school drop-off/pick up times for Ysgol Acrefair.
Police said it is reportedly causing 'gridlock', as well as people parking in the bus bay on Llangollen Road.
The Leader also reported earlier this week about "inconsiderate" parking in nearby Cefn Mawr.
PCSO Lauren Shiers said: "There are two car parks on Llangollen Road which Ysgol Acrefair has advised parents of, however this advice appears to have been ignored.
"Additionally, the car parks belonging to the businesses off Llangollen Road (hairdressers, vets) are private and should not be used."

She added: "We are working with Wrexham County Borough Council in the hope that zigzags are placed outside the school, however, I ask that we all support the school on this and always consider the safety of the children attending."
A Wrexham Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of the concerns raised due to parking in this area during school drop off and pick up times.
"We are now arranging for zig zags to be put outside the school on Tower View and will monitor the situation following these works.”
