WREXHAM Police have received details of a bizarre phone call that involved someone who claimed they were trying to buy drugs but were 'scammed' in the process.
North Wales Police's District Inspector for Wrexham, Luke Hughes, provides daily updates on crime in the area.
In his latest round-up on Wednesday, January 25, Inspector Hughes revealed details of an unbelievable phone call dealt with by his team.
He said the person in question called the police and told them they had 'tried to buy some drugs' - only to have then been 'scammed' somewhere along the process of doing so.

Inspector Hughes said: "At 4.55pm (on Tuesday, January 24) - I personally love this one - caller states he has tried to buy some drugs and that they have been scammed.
"They want us to investigate… Errrm, let me just think about this… Play silly games, win silly prizes."
