• Sychdyn Primary School
Children in Year 3 at the Flintshire school have been conducting an experiment to highlight just how many people, and from where, can see a post online.
As part of learning about internet safety, class teacher Megan Hughes posted to Twitter about the experiment. She asked people who saw the post, to reply with a comment about where in the world they lived, so she could share with pupils how far a single tweet can travel.
They have had responses from across Britain and the globe, including Portugal, Kenya, Norway and Australia.
The children are now marking all the places on a map of the world.
•Ysgol Penycae, Wrexham
The festive season may be over but there is always time to celebrate success.
Member of the Senedd Ken Skates announced the winner of his Christmas card competition during a visit to a local school.
Mr Skates, MS for Clwyd South, presented Year 6 Ysgol Penycae pupil, Kayden Douglas, with a prize after he was chosen from dozens of entries.
"We had a high number of brilliant entries from Ysgol Penycae, and there were several which would have been worthy winners," said Mr Skates, who visited the school for a special assembly.
"In fact, the best five or six entries we had were all from Penycae, I just thought Kayden's design had the edge and it was lovely to see some Cymraeg.
"I'm grateful to all the children who took the time to take part, and to their teachers. It was great fun looking through the entries and it was a really enjoyable visit."
• Park CP School, Llay
The entire school has gone back in time to the jurassic era for this term's topic.
Chosen by the youngsters themselves at the Wrexham primary school, this term is full of all things dinosaur!
Kicking the theme off was two days of educational fun with a visit from Dinomania, funded by a grant from Llay Community Council.
Headteacher Rebecca Billington said: "Dinomania is a great entry point to the topic, and helps provide a real incentive.
"It brings the topic to life, and there are lots of fossils and items to look at too.
"They can't wait to write about it and research it."
Head girl Amelia Jones said she found the fossils really interesting, and finding out about how dinosaurs lived a long time ago.
Head boy Samuel Prytherch has enjoyed learning about all the different species and the timeline.
And deputy head girl Esmae Gill finds it fascinating just how long ago the dinosaurs lived.
