Transport for Wales have reported that due to signalling staff availability in Shrewsbury/Crewe the line between Shrewsbury to Wrexham/Chester will close overnight.
The Signal Box is to be closed from 6pm this evening, Saturday January 14, until 6am tomorrow, Sunday January 15.
The closure will affect trains running from Shrewsbury to Wrexham/Chester as the line will be closed.
In addition, the line between Shrewsbury and Crewe will also be affected.

The Shrewsbury to Wrexham line travels from Shrewsbury usually stops at Gobowen, Chirk, Ruabon before arriving at Wrexham General.
Transport for Wales said: "A replacement road transport has been ordered for Shrewsbury, Chester, and Crewe to form a shuttle service (1700 hrs to 0200 hrs)"
2/3 Train services will still be able to access Shrewsbury from Birmingham, Machynlleth and Cardiff, but platforming options will be limited.
