A NEW Wrexham-based charity that helps families of children with long-term or life-limited conditions access therapies and support, is holding a launch event.
Therapy Stars Foundation will be holding the event on Friday, January 27, at 1pm, from Unit 36, Penley Industrial Estate.
The launch will be attended by business owners, therapists, supporters and local dignitaries.
Therapy Stars Foundation is a new children's charity that will support local children with long-term or life-limiting conditions, and their families, to access various recognised therapies.
They offer awards of £500 to families living in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire, for them to access therapy for a child. The grants can also be used for siblings of these children.

Therapy may include more well-known professions such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy but also those lesser known such as music therapy, hippotherapy and equine therapy, hydrotherapy and aquatic therapy, and counselling for example.
Sian Boffey, co-founder and Trustee of Therapy Stars Foundation, said: "We are excited to introduce a new charity in the hope that we can help and support as many families as possible.
"Early intervention is key for many young children with long term or life-limiting conditions, and ongoing therapy is a way of life for most of these families.
"But the financial constraints placed on all families, as well as the reduced resources available through statutory services, have meant that many children do not receive the therapy that they need or deserve."
Anyone interested in hearing about the new charity, how it may be able to benefit them or how they can help to support them, is welcome to attend, and enjoy some refreshments, a short presentation and a prize raffle.
