The latest figures from the UK coronavirus dashboard show a total of 490 people had died in the Wrexham area by December 30 (Friday) – which was unchanged from the week before.

Meanwhile, there was one more coronavirus death recorded over the latest weekly period in Flintshire.

The dashboard figures show a total of 530 people had died in the area by December 30 – up from 529 the week before.

That death was among the 11,137 deaths recorded across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

The figures include anyone whose death certificate – registered in the week ending Friday – mentioned Covid-19 as one of the causes.
