STANSTY Road underpass has reopened following repairs to a gas leak, it has been said.
The Leader reported in recent days how Wales & West Utilities was called to reports of the leak in the Stansty Road area of Wrexham on Monday, January 9 and on arrival, the team began work on the gas pipe beneath the road.
Rhosddu councillor Marc Jones advised residents and motorists via social media that the B5101 road under the bridge would be closed "for some time" and urged people to avoid the area.

Adrian Degg, Wales & West Utilities' gas emergency service manager for Wrexham, confirmed on Wednesday that the leak had been fixed, but the new road surface would need time to set.
He said the company aimed to have the road reopened today (Thursday.)
Wrexham Council has confirmed on social media that Stansty Road is now open to traffic.
