A popular Wrexham restaurant will be closed on Monday to treat staff as a thank you for all their hard work over the festive period.
The Fat Boar in Wrexham will be closing at 6pm tonight (Sunday, January 8) and reopening on Tuesday (January 10) to allow for a staff party.
An announcement on the closure was made on social media today, which will be to allow staff to “let their hair down”.

It read: “We are closed from 6pm this evening……..(last food orders at 5pm)
“We are taking the team out tonight for some food and drink to thank them for all their hard work, not just over the festive period but over the last 12 months……
“We’re expecting it to be a little messy! So as a result we’re going to be closed on Monday too as they all deserve to let their hair down without anyone worrying about work the next day!
“We will re open on Tuesday at noon with our steak deal, pre match burger offering and usual drinks, food & service with a smile.
“We hugely appreciate all the support that has been shown to us over the last 12 months, in what is a difficult time for everyone, we are hugely grateful that people are still choosing to spend their hard earned money with us.
“Business as usual until 6pm today, including our delivery service, then we are off to paint the town red!”
