Wrexham AFC’s Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have reacted to the club’s latest win against Coventry City.
Wrexham caused upset last night ( Saturday, January 7) when they beat the Championship side in the Emirates FA Cup, making it to the Fourth Round despite Coventry being three leagues above them.
The 4,500 Wexham fans who travelled to the away game had much to enjoy as they watched the 4-3 win, and made their voices heard with their songs and celebrations.
At the end of the match both Ryan and Rob took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the win, having described the Reds just before kick-off as the “underdogs”.
Ryan tweeted: “I’m completely and totally speechless. What a club. What a town. What a win. @Wrexham_AFC forever.”
Rob said: “We’re just getting started. @Wrexham_AFC”
