South Flintshire Police have released footage of an unknown person trying a car door handle of a parked car in Hawarden. 

Last month, an officer posted an update to the Community Alerts page confirming incidents of unknown persons’ trying car door handles in Hawarden. 

It said: “We would like to remind vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are secured properly, following reports of unknown persons trying car door handles in the area of Longfellow Avenue, Hawarden."

Police have today, January 5, shared CCTV footage of four people walking past a parked car as one of them stops to try the car door handle.

South Flintshire police said: "Further to our post on 30th December regarding persons trying car door handles in the area of Longfellow Avenue in Hawarden, we have now received CCTV footage of the individuals concerned.

"Whilst enquiries are still ongoing and additional patrols are being conducted in the area, we would like to again remind vehicle owners to properly secure their vehicles.
