A NEW plant-based market is coming to Wrexham next month.

The market will be held at Queen’s Square on Saturday, February 4 from 10am until 4pm.

It will see many local traders stocking a wide range of cheeses, cakes, puddings, beers, cocktails, street food, hot drinks, pies, candles, jewellery, handmade gifts and much more.

The event is being organised by Fern Evans who has been attending markets for the last five years with her street food business and has recently converted a vintage caravan into a street food trailer.

The Leader:

Fern said:"The message that I am keen to get across about this event is that I want to include any businesses that offer plant based products. So although it is a 100% plant-based market, I really want to make it clear that the business owners involved do not have to be fully vegan themselves, or even offer only vegan products all of the time - as long as whatever they are offering at the market on the day is completely plant-based.

"I know that there are currently a lot of independent businesses that are doing a really good job of offering plant based alternatives, and I think it is really important to showcase those businesses alongside the ones that are fully vegan.

"I know that a lot of people in the vegan community really appreciate those businesses that are doing their best to offer these alternatives, so I think it's very important to include them in something like this and celebrate them for the effort that they are making."
