Wrexham Council is taking further applications for warm spaces in the city to help combat the cost of living crisis.
Over recent months the council says it has seen huge pressures on the cost of living for residents in their communities.
For those already struggling to balance their living costs, this makes decisions that households may have to make this winter even more difficult.
The authority is continuing to work with local partners to create a network of warm spaces – places where local residents can get together to stay warm, take part in activities, get advice and perhaps have a cuppa too.
Already 22 local organisations have been awarded grants to open as a warm space and the second round of grant funding is now open.

Groups and organisations can apply for £1,000 to offer a warm space to residents to run alongside their current activities.
The closing date for applications is January 9.
The money can be used to offset a range of costs – for example, energy costs, activity costs, materials needed or staffing costs.
Cllr David A Bithell, chair of the cross party Cost of Living Group, said: “Many people are struggling to make ends meet and as we face the colder weather warm spaces will be appreciated by residents in the coming months as somewhere welcoming to go to.
"If you are a group or organisation in Wrexham please consider applying for the grant to make life a little easier for people in your community.”

In addition, the council is encouraging residents or businesses wanting to help to contact AVOW.
They said: "If you have an idea and are not sure how to turn it into an application or you are in need of support for volunteers or help to set up a not-for-profit group in order to apply please contact AVOW, Info@avow.org or telephone 01978 312556.
"AVOW can also assist with training for volunteers on a range of topics including food safety accredited training, Welfare Rights and Introduction to applying for grants."
