PLANS to build homes on the site of a former pub in Flintshire have been given the go-ahead. 

The scheme will six three-bedroom homes built on the site of the former Feathers Inn, in Bagillt, which was demolished in November, 2021

Planning documents state that the proposal makes the most efficient use of available land, reflects the characteristics of the site and surrounding area and helps to meet the needs of Flintshire residents for a range of house types. 

The plans have been given the green light by Flintshire Council's planning officials. 

A separate application for a change of use of a house in Hawarden to a children's care home has also been approved by Flintshire Council. 

The property, at 43 Lower Aston Hall Lane, will be used as a registered children's home for up to four young people. It will be staffed 24 hours a day.
