A 5G mast will be erected in Flintshire after plans were given the go-ahead.
The 20-metre high pole will be placed on Chester Road East in Deeside, near Queensferry Industrial Estate, according to Flintshire Council's website.
However, plans for a 20-metre mast at St David's Park in Ewloe has been refused by the council's planning department.
CK Hutchinson Networks (UK) Ltd, which will erect the mast in Deeside, said in a planning statement: "H3G (Three) committed to providing improved network coverage and capacity, most notably in relation to 5G services.
"In these unprecedented times of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is recognised that high-speed mobile connectivity is the lifeblood of a community. It facilitates educational benefits, provides access to vital services, improves communications with the associated commercial benefits for local businesses, enables e-commerce and facilitates the increased need and demand for working from home, as well as enjoying access to social, media and gaming for leisure time activities."
