A WREXHAM fan has taken aim at Chester Football Club after he spotted some of the Reds' scarves for sale in the city.
The rivalry between the two sides dates back to the 1800's and has become what's known as the 'Cross-Border Derby' with the clubs being located just 12 miles or so apart.
Chester, who were previously known as Chester City before being liquidated in 2010, currently play in the National League North, while Wrexham play one league above in the National League.
That means meetings between the two are now rare after years of going head-to-head - but one eagle-eyed Wrexham fan has this week done his bit to revive the rivarly on social media.

Reece Emmitt was out in Chester when he spotted both Wrexham AFC and Wales scarves for sale in the English city.
That led to him taking a cheeky swipe at the Reds' old rivals on Twitter.
He wrote: "Good to see @Wrexham_AFC and @Cymru scarves for sale in #chester.
"Sad to see for @ChesterFC though that their fans have been seduced by another, bigger, Welsh team."

The 'Welsh' team reference relates to Chester's Deva Stadium.
The ground's address appears to suggest that it is in England due to the location of the entrance gate being off Bumpers Lane, Chester.
The stadium car park, main entrance, and some of the offices are in England but the pitch itself is in Flintshire, Wales.
In January 2022, the club were threatened with legal action by North Wales Police and Flintshire County Council for failing to apply the COVID-19 regulations applying in Wales and allowing crowds to attend matches at the ground.
Luckily for Reece, some Chester fans saw the funny side of his Tweet.
'PaulineM' said: "Sold out of @ChesterFC scarves weeks ago. Lucky to have this lot ready for the January sales!"
Paul Baker added: "The Wrexham ones are there in case there is another bog roll shortage."
Reece himself then added: "Just thought it was strange that there was a Wrexham scarf being sold right in the middle of Chester. Just wouldn’t happen the other way round."
