LEADER readers have been sending in their best memories from the Racecourse Kop as its demolition looms.
From the famous win over Arsenal to Wales matches being played there, the Racecourse has enjoyed some terrific moments down the years.
But demolition of the iconic Kop stand is now just around the corner with its re-development already underway.
Wrexham Council’s planning committee gave that project the green light in early November.
The re-development will raise the capacity of the stadium from 10,000 to 15,500.

Before the club was purchased by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021, fans had long dreamed of a new stand to replace the current Kop which has been derelict for almost 15 years.
With that in mind, there's no doubt that many more memories will be created in years to come.
But, here are some of our readers' most cherished moments from the Kop stand to date ...
David Lee re-called seeing a future Manchester United legend play. He said: "Watching a young Wayne Rooney coming on as a sub for Everton and scoring in the cup. And the Everton fans amongst us in the Kop."
Pete Wilcox said: "Beating Chester in Welsh cup semi about ‘67, think it was 4-2, Johnny Schofield in goal, a Tony McGloughlan pen and a Sammy Mac goal finishing em off, if I remember right."
Neil Edwards said: "I remember Don Weston coming to Wrexham, he was a forward, he took a penalty and he hit the Red Dragon sign on the stand above the goal, then the referee made him take it again. His second chance penalty he hit the Red Dragon again, unreal but funny at the time."
Fred Dodd added: "The" Mark Hughes goal v Spain , I was in The kop that evening."
Darren Hughes said: "Jim Steele smashing header to beat Porto 1-0 in the euro cup winners."
Carl Cassidy told us: "Watching Wales beat England 4-1"
Ryan Denoven said: "First time I stood in the Kop was in 2007 for Brian Little’s first game in charge and it was against Chester of all teams.. We drew 2-2."
Arthur Millington said: "I remember taking my son to watch us play Liverpool 1978 we were at the back of the kop, he was on my shoulder's all of the match, he had a great view."
Haydn Jones added: "Standing there for the second half of the match in 1962 when we beat Hartlepool 10-1."
Shireen Hughes said: "Fainting on the packed Kop when Wales played Russia many years ago, was taken onto the side of the pitch after awakening. It was so packed, when I fainted the crowd kept me upright!"
