A WOMAN was "lost for words" after a random act of kindness from a stranger in Wrexham.
Rosy Walkden was doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in the Smyths store in Wrexham when she was handed an envelope from a stranger.
Inside it was a card, with a heartfelt message and £80 in cash.
Rosy, a young mum-of-two, said: "I was just walking around Smyths trying to get last minute presents for my two sons when I was handed this envelope by a man.
"When I opened it and saw it had money in I was in complete shock and didn't know what to do. I went to find the man who gave it me to give it him back as I wasn't sure I could accept it or to at least to say thank you, but he was nowhere to be found."
She continued: "Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and it's the kind of thing I read online or watch a video of - I just couldn't believe it, I was lost for words.
"Christmas is a tough time on us all especially financially and trying to do it all is extremely hard so this amount of money meant the world to me. I couldn't believe someone could be so generous to a complete stranger."
Rosy has been unable to track down the kind stranger, who only left the note signed "Michael".
The message reads: "To a friend I have yet to meet, Merry Christmas.
"Sending you warm wishes this Christmas season. All the best, Michael."
Rosy wants the chance to thank Michael personally.
She added: "This is such a thoughtful, kind gesture and I just wish I'd have had to chance to have said thank you to him in person.
"If anyone knows him, please put me in touch with him."
