A KIND-hearted couple will be helping to keep the homeless in Wrexham fed and clothed on Boxing Day.
Recently married Matt and Sian Pyne, who are from Flint, have been looking after people who are homeless for the last seven years.
The pair had started out by setting up on Queen's Square in Wrexham, before moving on to a church car park.
But, after complications arose with both of those locations, they sought a new more permanent residence to help them complete their mission of helping those less fortunate than themselves.
In December 2021, after Matt had put an appeal out to help find a permanent venue on Facebook, Peter Humphreys of the Yellow and Blue (YAB) charity stepped in to help out.
As a result, the YAB hub in the heart of Wrexham's town centre has now become a weekly venue for Matt and his team, as well as YAB volunteers, to cater for the homeless.
The team also meets up on Boxing Day to provide additional support - and this year is no different.

This time around, Matt, Sian and their generous team of volunteers will be at the YAB Hub from 12pm handing out food and clothing.
Matt, who is a HGV driver by day, told the Leader: "The Lyons Burger Van in Flint has very kindly donated us a load of free burgers to be cooked and handed out during the day.
"It's all been in the works for the last five or six months and the rucksack appeal means we have plenty of clothing to hand out too.
"We will be giving out things like joggers, hoodies, underwear and even toiletries. People will also receive a Christmas card with a nice message in and a present.
"We will make sure that people will be leaving with their bellies full and their rucksacks full too.
"We also need to thank the Prestatyn Crisp Packet project who have made and donated insulation sheets."
Asked about how vital looking after the homeless in the community is to him, Matt said: "It's as important as breathing is to me. We're expecting around 30 people to be coming to us for support on the day."
Matt runs his 'Outreach' programme from the YAB Hub every Wednesday at 7pm, offering hot meals, clothing and so much more.
Matt said: "We've been doing this for around seven years now and by showing that level of consistency and regularity by turning up every week, we have managed to build up trust with these people who are homeless.
"They know we're going to be here for them every week without any fear of judgment."
