Mecca Bingo Wrexham will be giving away over 100 hampers to vulnerable households as part of the Everyone Deserves a Christmas appeal.

Wrexham MP, Sarah Atherton and Mecca MD, Andy Crump, will be on hand on Wednesday (December 21) to spread some Christmas cheer, as for the third year the bingo brands’ Wrexham club has run its Everyone Deserves a Christmas appeal.

This year the club has raised over £3,500 and created 111 special hampers for vulnerable people in the local area.

The hampers are full of essential items and delicious treats to ensure recipients have a wonderful Christmas. Food items in the hampers include food for Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day, including chickens donated by Wrexham Co-op stores.

Mecca Bingo Wrexham has partnered with Sarah Atherton MP, Caia Park Partnership, the Mayor’s Office and Wrexham Rotary Club to arrange delivery of the 111 hampers (up from 30 last year) to vulnerable households in the area on Wednesday, December 21.

Tracy Leigh, general manager at Mecca Bingo Wrexham, said: “This is the third and biggest year of our Everyone Deserves a Christmas hamper appeal. We know it’s difficult for many this year and Christmas should be a magical time, so we were determined to make it special for as many people as possible. Thank you to our partners, staff and customers for all of your generosity this year!”
