Pupils at a Flintshire school have been enjoying a variety of festive fun activities, including a charity fundraiser, in the lead up to the end of term.
Teachers at Ysgol Maes Y Felin in Holywell organised an Elf Day for the children, inviting them to come to school dressed as these cute characters. Cake and sweet stalls were set up for staff and children to purchase an array of tempting treats, all in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.
On the day, pupils from year 5/6 helped by dealing with money and serving children.

The day was described as a "great success" with a total of £212 raised.
A few days later, pupils took part in the school’s annual Christmas Jumper Day and enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner at lunchtime.
The school Christmas choir also gave a special performance at a coffee morning held at St Peter’s Church, Holywell. The children sang three Christmas carols and then had an opportunity to chat with guests and enjoy refreshments and cake.
As a final festive flourish, class parties for all pupils are being held on Wednesday, December 21.
