A charity that is handing out free food for families in North Wales is appealing for food donations from food stores, producers and manufacturers.
Given to Shine, a local charity that supports those struggling financially is running the scheme on Christmas Eve for its sixth successive year.
The charity is currently collecting food which will be handed out free-of-charge to people from thousands of households across the area.

The food provided will be predominantly supermarket surplus, food that would otherwise exceed its best before date during store closures and be destined for the bin.
As Christmas Eve draws closer the charity is looking for more food providers to donate unused goods.
A Given to Shine spokesperson said: "Calling all food stores, producers and manufacturers.
"Please have a look at what we’re doing on Christmas Eve, if you have any food that’s going to go out of date during Christmas shutdown, please let us redistribute it to the community.
"All food welcome - fresh, tinned, packets, loose (with Natasha’s Law in mind re allergens) or packaged!
"There’s no such thing as too little or too much, we can deal with any quantity, and it can go direct to your nearest venue or we can share it between them if it’s available by 6.30pm on Christmas Eve!
"We already have 37 venues across four counties to distribute it and more to be confirmed in the coming days!
"We absolutely hate food waste, and love sharing, save on your waste bills and feed humans, not landfill!"
The charity recently launched an urgent appeal for more venues across the four counties it serves; Flintshire, Wrexham, West Cheshire and Denbighshire.
Since then several venues have come forward across Flintshire and Wrexham.

- Your Money Matters is a campaign launched by us and our sister titles across Newsquest to help you overcome the surge in the cost of living. This year has seen a whole host of household price increases — from the energy price cap rise to surging inflation and food prices — costing your family hundreds or even thousands of pounds extra per year. We’re making it our mission to look out for your cash, offering money-saving deals, competitions, giveaways and insightful stories from your community on the impact this cost-of-living crisis is having on our readers. The worldwide energy crisis exacerbated by the Ukraine invasion, the financial impact of the Covid pandemic, record inflation figures and a surge in the cost of goods, fuel and travel means we will all feel the pinch. Through our newspaper, we want to do what we can to help make your cash go further because we know your money matters.
