TRAIN services between Wrexham and Bidston have been cancelled due to a shortage of signalling staff today (Monday, December 12).
The line connects the Wirral with North East Wales and serves eight Flintshire stations from Hawarden Bridge to Cefn-y-Bedd.
However, today, services have been put on hold due to the lack of staff available.

National Rail Website states: “Due to a shortage of signalling staff between Wrexham Central and Bidston, trains will not run between Wrexham Central and Bidston. Disruption is expected until the end of day.”
A Transport for Wales (TfW) alert said that trains have been “cancelled due to signalling staff being taken ill.”
TfW website states: “Due to Signal Box closure due to staff availability between Bidston and Wrexham Central the line is closed.”
“Train services running to and from these stations will be suspended. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
“Replacement road transport has been requested to shuttle between Wrexham Central and Bidston. Apologies for any delay and inconvenience caused.”
