A yellow weather warning is in place from 4pm today (Sunday, 11 December) to 11am tomorrow for Wrexham and Flintshire.
The warning for snow and ice which covered the whole of North Wales was lifted at 12pm today however a new warning for ice and fog by the Met Office is in place across the two counties.
Today, it is expected that a freezing fog will be slow to clear, and possibly lingering, keeping it below freezing in places, with a maximum temperature 3 °C.
It will remain “very cold” overnight according to the Met Office, with temperatures quickly dropping below freezing, variable amounts of cloud with clear spells, isolated wintry shower mainly in the far west. The Met Office predicts a minimum temperature -4 °C.
For Monday, it is predicted to be cold and frosty with largely cloudy skies across the east of Wales perhaps with an isolated snow flurry. A maximum temperature 2 °C is predicted.
