THE magic of Christmas has arrived at a popular historic property in Wrexham.

National Trust Cymru have transformed the rooms at Chirk Castle with trees and festive displays to immerse visitors in the spirit of the medieval 13th-century fortress, taking inspiration from the castle's diverse collection or art and curiosities and the nature on the surrounding estate.

Visitors will be able to enjoy these fantastical Christmas decorations every day until December 31 (closed December 24 and 25), with the castle rooms open from 11am, with last entry at 3.30pm.

Step inside Chirk Castle and enjoy beautifully decorated Christmas trees, which each celebrate what makes the castle special.

There's plenty more to see and do at Chirk Castle this Christmas too. Celebrate old traditions and uncover new ones.

Outside, explore 480-acres of parkland and glorious garden, so wrap up warm and explore the trails through woodland and parkland, which offer great views of the castle and countryside. Or donate to the Oswestry and Borders foodbank in the reverse grotto, where Father Christmas will be waiting to thank you at weekends, from 10.30am-3.30pm.
