A CONVOY of motorcyclists will be driving to Alder Hey Children's Hospital to donate toys in memory of a baby boy from Flintshire.
Five years ago, Leo Fish, aged just 13 weeks died from an undiagnosed heart condition following a brave 71-day fight in intensive care at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
Ever since, Leo's family, who live in Caergwrle, have honoured his memory by fundraising for other children currently in hospital and other good causes.
This has included Leo's siblings, Sonny and Evie taking on a 20-mile fundraising walk, and his mum and dad, Nicola and Daniel, walking up Britain's tallest rollercoaster.
There has also been a family fun day and bingo and a six-and-a-half mile bike ride by Evie and Sonny - with the family having raised thousands of pounds in total. In October of 2018, a medical camp was set up in Bangalore, India in Leo's memory.
The camp, named Leo the Lion Camp, saw a specialist medical team from the UK fly out to India whereby they conducted operations at Sri Sathya Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Hospital on children with life-threatening heart conditions. It saw 16 children receiving potentially life-saving operations.

And the latest charity event on Saturday, December 17 will see dozens of motorcyclists set off from The Old Stores Motorbike Café, in Pontblyddyn, ride in convoy to Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey to drop off toys to the families there.
Ronald McDonald House allows families to stay near their children undergoing treatment at Alder Hey, and is a place very close to Nicola and Daniel's hearts.
"Ronald McDonald house charity were everything to us in the time Leo spent in hospital," Nicola said.
"Leo's health and stability was so fragile we never wanted to be far away, the house meant we didn't need to be at any time.
"It was a place for Evie to come and spend with us after visiting Leo and being away from us for long periods of time."
She added: "Although the worst happened, because of them we got to spend every minute with him, and as a family we will never forget that.
"We will continue to fundraise for the charity in honor of Leo as it is vital for families that Ronald McDonald House Charities stays open."
The convoy will set off at around midday, with a car full of toys following them behind. Each of the motorcyclists taking part is donating a toy.
Anyone wishing to donate a toy, which must be bought new for health and safety reasons, can do so by dropping it off at The Old Stores Motorbike Cafe, located off the A541 in Pontblyddyn, CH7 4HR.
