Contact Wrexham will be moving locations from Lord Street in the city at the beginning of next week.
From Monday, December 12 Contact Wrexham will be operating from The Guildhall (main entrance lobby) temporarily, but will move again to its permanent home inside Wrexham Library, though this date will be announced in the New Year.
Services will continue as normal during this transition period.
Many of the services are available online 24 hours a day which remains the quickest and easiest way to access lots of services.
Contact Wrexham offers face to face appointments for the following services:
- Blue badges
- Council Tax
- Housing Benefits
- Planning
- Companion bus passes
Cllr Beverley Parry Jones, lead member for corporate services said: “Other than the change of locations, we expect the transition period to have very little impact on customers wanting to visit Contact Wrexham, and once at the library, staff will be able to offer customers digital support at our bespoke self-serve area.”

Cllr Mark Pritchard, leader of Wrexham Council and lead member for finance and performance said: “The lease on our Lord Street location was due to finish towards the end of this month and a new location was sought. After spending a few weeks based at the Guildhall to ensure a continuation of service, the final location will be based at Wrexham library.
"The library location is in close proximity to the Guildhall car park, making the service more accessible to people with mobility issues, as well as being free parking to blue badge holders.
"Investing in, and having our Contact Wrexham service at the library will mean that we will be able to improve our overall face to face services to the community, making it the ideal location for the services permanent new home."
