DEESIDE Leisure Centre has officially confirmed a re-opening date after over two years of closure.
The ice rink will open to the general public again on Friday, December 16.
Aura said: “Aura Wales is pleased to announce that the Ice Arena at Deeside Leisure Centre will re-open to the general public from Friday, 16 December 2022.
"This follows the welcome return of ice hockey and the hosting of the Aspray Chester Deeside Dragons’ home game on Saturday, 10 December.

"We are excited about the prospect of our loyal ice skating customers returning and we thank them for their patience over recent months. We hope everybody enjoys the Ice Arena’s fresh, new look.”
The ice rink in Queensferry has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020 for use as a vaccination centre, with skaters eagerly awaiting when they would be able to get back on the ice following two years of closure to the public.
Earlier this year, Aura announced they'd hoped to have the ice rink back up and running in 'autumn this year'.
Home of The Deeside Dragons ice hockey team, the announcement will come as much welcomed news to the side, following a brief hiatus on their season due to the arena's continued closure.
