A WREXHAM police inspector has revealed officers have had "significant success" in reducing burglaries in the area.
Inspector Luke Hughes, of the Wrexham City policing team, said that offences remain "very low" - with nine recorded incidents in November, compared to 50 in November of 2017.
Inspector Hughes revealed the statistic in his daily police update, in which he gave details of a break-in at a property on Jacques Way - a new build location off Mold Road.
He said: "We area aware that entry was gained to this property via the rear patio doors, which were smashed to gain entry. If you live near this location, or have CCTV that may be of value to the investigation please contact us and quote 22000892276."

Inspector Hughes added: "We are also looking for any information in relation to a male seen lurking in the area of Glyndwr Road at around 9.08pm on December 4, he was disturbed at an address but also returned to the area later that night. Dressed in dark clothing and carrying a backpack, if you saw anything again please contact us and quote 22000893973."
He added: "Burglary offences remain very low across the area, we have had significant success in this area but please remain vigilant, CCTV, ring doorbells and lighting can help, but nothing beats a vigilant neighboured, community watch or professional curiosity.
"You may hate that Doris from number 26 constantly watches the comings and going at your house, but one day Doris may just prevent a burglary with her curtain twitchin, go and give Doris some Quality Street and embrace a sense of community."
