A Flintshire dog rescue has said that they were “blown away” by the support they received for their Christmas fair, which has raised over £2,500.
Almost Home Dog Rescue in Nercwys was raising money to help support dogs looking for their forever homes.
The dog friendly event, held on Sunday, December 4 had a Santa's Grotto, raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac and stalls from local businesses along with craft stalls.
A spokesperson for Almost Home said: "We are so grateful to everybody who attended our Christmas fair at Llanferres Village Hall on Sunday, December 4 and were genuinely blown away by the amount of people and, most importantly, dogs who were there!

“A huge amount of effort went into making this event a success, from the many volunteers, supporters, stall holders, and donators who all made the day so special. Without all of these people, and their support, the Almost Home team know that they wouldn't be able to continue to save dogs lives…it’s really that simple!
“People's continued support of Almost Home Dog Rescue is overwhelming to the team and the amount raised at this event, which has now exceeded £2,500, will help with increasing vet bills. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to say a sincere 'thank you' and wish you all a very Merry Christmas from Almost Home Dog Rescue."
