WREXHAM AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds was left feeling 'so proud' of the Canada football team after it made its return to the World Cup stage last night (Wednesday, November 23).
Les Rouges made their comeback to the grandest stage of them all at Qatar 2022 - their first WC appearance since the 1980's.
Canada eventually fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of European giants Belgium but were undoubtedly the better side throughout the match.
That left Ryan beaming with pride for his home nation, who will now go on to face Croatia and Morocco in their other Group F matches.

Deadpool star Ryan took over at Wrexham alongside friend and fellow actor Rob McElhenney in early 2021.
Since then, there has been a real buzz on and off the field and international recognition is now a daily theme for the club thanks to the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary.
