MYSTERY surrounds the sale of a shopping precinct in Flintshire.
Buckley Town Council has confirmed that the shopping centre in the town centre is now under new ownership after being bought.
The precinct, which contains 19 shops across just over 30,000 sq ft of retail space, was sold on November 3.
Tenants include Iceland, Savers, Barnardos, Tenovus and Mencap. They pay annual rent of over £200,000 to the current landlord with Iceland the biggest retailer on the site, paying nearly £69,000 a year.
The shopping centre also includes three empty retail units and a vacant first floor office suite comprising 1,434 sq ft.

Buckley Town Council's town centre manager, Andy White, said: "At the moment, we have no information on who has bought the shopping centre and what their plans are for it. Even the traders in the precinct haven't been told who the new owners are.
"All we know is that it was bought on November 4. As soon as we know anything, we will of course share that information with the people of Buckley."
Attempts were made by The Leader to contact Mason Owen, a company which acted on behalf of the previous landlord, for comment on the matter.
