LLANGOLLEN Railway has quashed any speculation their Santa Specials are in any danger of cancellation this December due to a lack of volunteers.
The Santa Specials are set to return on Friday, December 3 taking guests on a festive filled excursion from Llangollen to 'Lapland'.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated Christmas events, Llangollen Railway Trust Manager Tom Taylor quickly put to bed any suggestions the specials were in danger: “The Llangollen Railway wishes to make it very clear that there is no threat to our Santa Specials being able to take place.
“All our services are now fully booked and Santa, along with our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are all very much looking forward to welcoming our visitors to Lapland next month.
“Christmas at the Llangollen Railway is most certainly not cancelled and looks set to be a very special one for us after a busy and successful season.
“We are however always on the lookout for new volunteers to help and the Santa season is always a busy one where extra folk can help take some of the burden of our existing dedicated team of volunteers."
Anyone interested in volunteering can send get in touch by emailing events@llangollen-railway.co.uk. The minimum age for volunteers is 16.
