POLICE have issued an update on the investigation into a "horrific" livestock attack in Flintshire.
On Monday (November 21), The Leader reported on a dog attack in a field off Padeswood Road in Buckley some time between Sunday night and the early hours of monday. It left seven Welsh Mountain ewes dead, and around 25 others injured, with police officers describing it as a "scene of absolute devastation".
Police said they feared more would die from their injuries over the next few days.

PCSO Iwan Jones, of the Rural Crime Team, said: "A quick update for you in relation to the horrific livestock attack - we have received some really useful information late this afternoon which we are now pursuing. Can't divulge any details but it's a really positive development - so a big thank you to those who have made contact.
"As I stated previously 7 were killed, a further 16 are not looking good at all. Others have a variety of injuries which may stop them feeding, a close eye will be kept on them.
"A head count has shown 11 are missing, a search has been made but no luck as yet so please keep an eye out in that area for the missing ewes which are Welsh Mountains with a purple mark on the shoulder."
