Wrexham AFC fans will be hoping to make it a sweet 16 this weekend as Aldershot Town visit the Racecourse.

The Reds have been unstoppable at home so far this season, winning all nine league games and scoring 35 goals in the process.

Victory over Aldershot will make it 10 league wins on the bounce at the Racecourse.

A big crowd is normal for Wrexham home games at the moment, and if a 9,000+ attendance is achieved, it will mark the 16th consecutive league crowd at the Racecourse of more than 9,000.

You have to go back to the start of April to find the last time there were less than 9,000 at a National League home game for the Reds.

Over the course of the 15 games, there has been a total attendance of 147,603 fans at the Racecourse.

The 150,000 barrier will be passed with ease during the Aldershot game.

Wrexham fans breezed through the 100,000 barrier for this season during the FA Cup tie against Oldham, impressively reaching the feat just four months and 11 games into the season.

With potential cup clashes, as well as the remaining 14 league games at home, the Reds could even be pushing toward 300,000 fans by the end of the season.

Which for a side in the fifth tier of English football, is simply remarkable.

Phil Parkinson and his players regularly speak of the difference the Wrexham fans make, and it is clear that they are having an impact at home this season.

Long may it continue.
