AURA Leisure has issued an update as to the future of the ice rink at Deeside Leisure Centre.
The ice rink in Queensferry has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020 for use as a vaccination centre, with skaters eagerly awaiting when they will be able to get back on the ice following two years of closure to the public.
Last month, Aura Leisure confirmed that the reopening was 'gathering pace' and that the hope was very much for an autumn reopening.
With December now just over two weeks away, many will be left wondering what is the latest with regards to the doors of the ice rink opening once again.

In their latest update a spokesperson for Aura Leisure said: “In early October, Aura shared that it was hopeful reinstatement works in the ice arena will be successfully completed over the next couple of months.
“This remains the case. We are not able to provide a confirmed re-opening date at present.
“As soon as we are in a position to share further information regarding the re-opening of the ice arena we will do so at the earliest opportunity as we are fully aware that our loyal ice-skating customers are excited at the prospect of returning.”
