Stolen Christmas decorations and wing mirrors being kicked off are among some of the incidents Wrexham police dealt with.
Inspector Luke Hughes provided the daily update, detailing what officers dealt with on Wednesday (November 16).
Among other incidents were:
9.40am - Call from confused/distressed elderly lady – officer attends and supports.
11.51am – Rhosddu Road – report that someone was lurking in the area last night and the caller has found their garage open. Beware the opportunist.
12.07pm – Gibson Street – damaged noted on a parked vehicle, footprint on the door – wing mirror kicked off. Insp Hughes said: "How pathetic, damaging a parked vehicle, needless damage – B173500 if you are local and have any CCTV that may help."
3.45pm – Fake vouchers. Insp Hughes added: "Report from retailer in Island Green – states that at around 11am a female was in store and tried to use some fake vouchers to purchase items – these were LOVE2SHOP vouchers.
"When the female realised staff were suspicious, she snatched the vouchers and ran off… guilty conscience? I am aware that a few similar vouchers were passed over the weekend and bikes “purchased” with them, so please take note and care - this seems to be the current thing now that they have given up on the fake notes."
1.30pm – Lamppost knocked over in car park – Rhostyllen – damage caused to other vehicles. Officers attend and details exchanged, no injuries.
4.20pm – RTC - Huntroyde Avenue – no injuries.
4.34pm – Theft of Christmas decorations – Border Retail.
4.47pm - Suspicious male – Colliery Road. Insp Hughes said: "Asking questions in relation to parked vehicle – no offences reported but grateful for the vigilance – keep it up."
9.43pm – Report of broken window – St David’s Crescent. Insp Hughes added: "No obvious attempt to gain entry – reckless damage."
