A WREXHAM teenager found herself in the dock after police caught her in a car with a knife in her dressing-gown pocket.
Oliwia Pieczkowska, of Albert Street, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old admitted that on October 13 at Plas Acton Road in Pandy, she had in her possession a credit card style concealable lock knife.
Rhian Jackson, prosecuting, told the court that at around 12.45am on the date of the offence, a vehicle in which Pieczkowska was a passenger was stopped by police.
The occupants of the vehicle were detained for a search and when asked if she had anything sharp, the defendant pulled the blade from her dressing gown pocket.

After being arrested, she told police her friend had worn the garment and the blade must have been put there by her.
Pieczkowska also admitted that on October 31, she failed to surrender to the custody of Wrexham Magistrates Court having been released on bail by police for the earlier knife offence.
On the day, she claimed to have overslept and asked the court not to issue a warrant.
She was given time to attend but did not - so a warrant was issued anyway.
Emma Simoes, defending, said: "She is of previous good character and has found coming to court today very worrying.

"She gave an explanation in interview and maintains that but understands it's not a reasonable excuse."
District Judge Gwyn Jones told the defendant her decision had been "extremely foolish."
He handed down a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge for the knife offence.
No separate penalty was issued for the bail offence.
