At Erddig, in Wrexham, visitors are invited to step inside the halls to enjoy the festively decorated servants' area and elegant decor lighting up the impressive family rooms. Then, journey out into the Grade I listed garden to see the house's east front windows transformed into a magnificent giant advent calendar. Each day one of the 24 numbered windows will be revealed to unveil drawings made by children in the local community.

Need something to keep your little elves entertained? Why not wrap up warm and embark along Erddig's outdoor Christmas trail before tucking into some Yuletide treats to round off the perfect day out.

Over at Chirk Castle, guests can immerse themselves in the spirit of the medieval 13th century fortress-cum-family home, surrounded by magical trees with unique decorations inspired by the castle's collection and surrounding nature.

Pack your visit with activities like a wintry walk venturing through Chirk Castle's peaceful parkland, enjoying warming cups of hot chocolate and Christmas shopping. There's something to add some sparkle to everyone's Christmas.

Both properties are running a 'Reverse Grotto' in which visitors are encouraged to leave a donation for local food banks. Plus, Father Christmas will be there to say thank you - what better way to make the 'nice' list!
