Armistice Day was marked with air sirens at 11am today in Wrexham during a remembrance ceremony.
The memorial day marks the end of World War I in 1918 on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The commemorations took place at Queens Square where the Mayor of Wrexham Cllr Brian Cameron began the service.
At 10.59am a bugler sounded the Last Post before the siren was played.
The siren is located at Wrexham County Borough Museum and can be sometimes heard within a 2.5 mile radius of the town centre.
Many members of the public attended the ceremony in the town centre, along with cadets, North Wales Police officers and veterans.
