Wrexham AFC recorded the biggest attendance in the FA Cup first round this weekend as they dispatched Oldham Athletic.

The Reds got themselves in the hat for the second-round draw, which will take place at the Racecourse, with an impressive 3-0 win over the Latics.

A goal from Sam Dalby and two from Paul Mullin saw Wrexham progress in front of another big crowd.

There were 9,113 in attendance at a packed out Racecourse, even with the game being shown on ITV.

That figure proved to be the biggest of the round, bettering teams such as Bolton Wanderers, Bradford City, Charlton Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday.

Wrexham's immense support continues, with over 100,000 fans through the gates at the Racecourse so far this season.

The Reds are now 90 minutes away from a potential clash against a Premier League side.

While Phil Parkinson and most Wrexham fans will insist that promotion from the National League is the priority, which it is, how good would it be to see a Liverpool or Man United at the Racecourse?

Wrexham will find out their second round opponents in tonight's draw, which gets underway at 7pm.
