A PLANNING application to demolish and rebuild a retirement complex is amongst the latest submitted in Flintshire and Wrexham.
The proposal would see the Cwrt Pentwmpath retirement home complex, in Llay, knocked down.
In its place would be the erection of an over 55's housing scheme comprising of 17 one-bed dwellings and eight one-bed bungalows.
An application has also be submitted for a change of use of a vacant building.
The scheme would see Panton House, on Panton Place in Holywell, turned into four independent apartment units at the first and second floor.

Other notable planning applications recently submitted in Flintshire and Wrexham are as follows:
- Demolition of storage building at Shell petrol station on Holywell Road, Flintand. Creation of a charging zone, erection of EV chargers, erection of canopy, three jet wash bays, sub-station enclosure and associated forecourt works.
- Erection of three-bed home with two parking spaces at Glennela, London Road, Trelawnyd.
- Change of use of Marcher Court, Sealand Road, Sealand to hand car wash.
- The erection of a Solid Recovered Fuel Facility, together with ancillary development including an electricity/power room, pipeline and conveyor system at at Castle Cement Ltd, A5118 Roundabout To Plas Major Lane A550, Padeswood.
- Demolition of existing home and erection of replacement home at 9 Sherbourne Avenue, Bradley.
