WREXHAM Lager has been welcoming people from all over the world to its brewery shop this week.

The hugely-popular Welcome to Wrexham series has boosted the profile of Wrexham AFC and the surrounding community to no end.

Since it first aired on Disney Plus in early September, the documentary series has drawn people from all over the world to the city.

One business which has seemingly been reaping the rewards of appearing on the show is Wrexham Lager.Β

They announced this week that their brewery shop, which has been open since April 2021, has seen many people come from all over the world to visit lately.

Some of the places they have travelled from include Texas and Oregon in the USA and Toronto in Canada.

Wrexham Lager wrote: "Texas, Toronto, Oregon. Our new friends from over the pond are making their over to Wrexham andΒ it’s our pleasure to welcome you all to the Brewery!

"Better yet? All have mentioned what a special & welcoming community we have! Wrexham!"

The Wrexham Lager Beer Company Limited was first founded in 1882 by two German immigrants, Ivan Levinstein and Otto Isler, where they made bitters, ales and lagers.

In 2000, the businessΒ stopped producing Wrexham Lager products, the site was demolished and changed into a shopping outlet.

However,Β there was a revival of the Wrexham Larger product in 2011 with brothers Mark Roberts and Vaughan Roberts building a much smaller but successful brewery which has led to great success and even the opening of a brewery shop.
