Police have closed the road.
The A483 was closed in both directions last night following a crash.
North Wales Police and Traffic Wales confirmed the road closure following a road traffic collision.
Both carriageways were closed between J6 Gresford and J7 Rossett, and remained closed until around 5am this morning.
North Wales Police had asked motorists to avoid the area.
The road has now been reopened.
