A FLINTSHIRE village is holding a Guy Fawkes event on Saturday, November 5.
Llanferres, a small community on the outskirts of Mold are gearing up for an evening of firework fun which will see a range of activities to be enjoyed by all ages.
Activities include a Guy Fawkes dummy-making competition which encourages children (and adults too!) to make their own Guy Fawkes and bring them down to Llanferres Village Hall to be placed on stage and judged by Councillor Huw Williams.
The evening will also see plenty of arts and crafts which includes firework painting on a black A3 canvas and making personalised lanterns.
A raffle will also be held with great prizes to be won thanks to generous donations from local businesses; followed by a dazzling firework display for all the community to enjoy
Hot food and soft drinks will also be available.
Subcommittee member, Elaine Williams-Gibson said: “We are a community who thrive on pulling together and our events are always very well attended.
"It maintains community spirit, it's good communication for people in the village, especially for those who look out for the older folk.
"It also provides funding for our village. We're all really excited."
The event begin from 3:30pm on Saturday, November 5 with a small entry fee of £2.50 with all proceeds going back into the village.
