A WREXHAM man has pleaded guilty to shining a laser at a police helicopter.
Ian Davies, 58, of Park Avenue in Wrexham, appeared before Mold Crown Court on Friday, October 14.
He was charged with two counts of shining a direct laser beam towards an aircraft and pleaded guilty to both counts.
The court heard that the offences took place on September 28, 2021 while the police helicopter was hovering over Wrexham.
Philip Tully, defending, told Judge Niclas Parry that Davies was a man with no previous convictions and is also in full-time employment.
A pre-sentencing report will now be prepared before his next appearance in court on November 8.
