Donna has owned her own training academy since January 2019 which first opened near her home in Flint, but in October 2020, moved to Shotton.

She added: “As a holistic person, the name Peridot was chosen through my love of Crystal Healing (also my birthstone) as the gem is said to ward off negativity, release feelings of past regret and always allow you to move forward which is perfect for training.”

The academy offers regulated qualifications, equivalent to what is available at colleges but in a private setting with a maximum of four learners.

Peridot also gives students the chance to undertake short, accredited courses for those who would prefer a fast track route, in addition to being a licensed premises so hard workers can raise a glass toast to their success – something Donna will be hoping she is doing come November 27.
