SECTIONS of a main route through Flintshire are set for four-week long closures to facilitate tree felling.
Flintshire Council has said that the A541 Denbigh Road will be closed in sections between its junctions with B5123 (Rhosesmor) and B5122 (Caerwys) from October 31.
The closures will take place from 9am and 5pm (Monday to Friday) to facilitate the felling of trees, and it is likely that works will take up to four weeks to complete.
The council has said advance warning signs will be erected ahead of the closures, and diversion routes will be signed accordingly.
The road closure will apply to all motorists – access to all villages will be maintained, however, motorists will need to follow the diversion route. During times when the tree felling operations will take place, the council said it would not be safe to allow motorists through.
Vehicles will be diverted through Rhosesmor, Halkyn (B5123), Holywell (A5026), and then to Caerwys (B5122) and will be signed accordingly.
